EirTrade Aviation, founded in 2010 is a privately-owned partner of choice to the World’s leading Airlines, Leasing Companies and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul companies (MRO).  Through our dedicated EirTrade contacts and channel relationships and our world-wide customer base, we provide crucial services to the aviation industry including supply of new, overhauled and serviceable aircraft and engine parts, Technical Record Services (Back-to-Birth Trace), Management of Aircraft & Engines at end of life, Technical Storage and Consignment programmes.  We are one of the largest independent suppliers of new engine material Worldwide and are proud of the breadth of services we can offer.  

EirTrade operate from an impressive 42,000 square foot facility in Rathcoole Co. Dublin and through our Aircraft Teardown facility at Knock Airport.  We are ASA accredited and have an expanding expert team employed across Technical, Sales, Technical Services, Program Management, Trading, Finance & Legal.   The current opportunity is seeking to expand our sales team and capitalise on existing and new opportunities that are emerging.

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing pipeline and achieving ambitious sales targets. EirTrade, as a worldwide material and service provider trades internationally as part of its regular day to day activities.  Key objectives include maximising sales/revenue through existing clients, seeking new clients and opportunities for targeted business lines, development of a solid pipeline, securing profitable sales and long-term business relations.   

The candidate will add strength and experience to our existing team and must possess excellent business development and communication skills with the ability to deal with internal and external clients and ensure EirTrade standards are adhered to at all times.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Develop and executes a comprehensive account plan for key strategic accounts and new client opportunities  
  • Maximize customer & partner relations, ensure customer satisfaction with superior pre and post sales support 
  • Hunt out and develop new opportunities understanding market dynamics to target new clients and territories 
  • Build a solid sales pipeline and generate and progress leads on an ongoing basis 
  • Manage RFPs and RFxs for your strategic accounts and ensure excellent conversion rates ensuring EirTrade resources are used efficiently 
  • Making accurate, rapid price calculations and provide quotes to customers in accordance with EirTrade sales processes
  • Measure key sales metrics for your accounts with continual improvement addressed 
  • Accountable for exceeding key targets including revenue targets, margin, cash-flow, working capital and market share
  • Contribute to senior management team meetings and company strategy formulation 
  • Mentor and work as a team to foster learning and development of our Sales Executives 
  • Liaise with other departments such as operations, repairs, assets and technical services to ensure adherence to EirTrade and industry procedures at all times.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min 5 years sales experience in the aviation industry essential in either airframe/engine or both
  • Ability to work to targets and exceed expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to apply common sense and pragmatism as required
  • Able to apply integrity and good practice across all activities and initiatives
  • While the role is as an individual contributor, people management experience desirable
  • Experience working with different time zones and ability to manage geographic challenges
  • A strong communicator

Travel Requirement: Required periodically for attendance at aviation events and client visits
