Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Origination & Trading Americas, the Origination & Trading Manager – Americas will be responsible for Origination & Trading of assets from Aeroplanes to Engines throughout the Americas. The job holder will lead the development of pipeline and achieving targets through sourcing.

They are expected to proactively develop vendor and customer relationships through meetings, sales calls and emails and will have an established network already. Similar experience in aviation is a must.

The successful candidate will add strength and experience to our existing team and must possess excellent business development and communication skills with the ability to deal with internal and external clients and ensure EirTrade standards are adhered to and improved on.

This is a permanent role with a 3 month probationary period.

Responsibilities

  • Actively work on market for EirTrade
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and establish strong relationships with key vendors
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to purchases assets
  • Work closely with the VP of Origination & Trading Americas to ensure pipeline is strong and that Eirtrade remain a key competitor in the market
  • Strengthen, manage, and build strong long-term relationships with existing and new business opportunities
  • Hunt out and develop new opportunities, understand the market dynamics to target new opportunities
  • Respond to incoming enquiries, referrals and leads in a timely, professional, and effective manner
  • Conduct regular follow-ups on leads to obtain feedback and expedite origination

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience in an aviation origination function, with minimum five years experience in the aviation industry essential in either airframe, engine, or both
  • Experience using Salesforce/Avsight is an advantage
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks and taking ownership end to end
  • Experienced sourcing leads and closing deals
  • Self-motivated and self-driven, as well as the ability to motivate others. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Capacity to apply common sense and pragmatism as required
  • Demonstrate behaviour in accordance with EirTrade business ethics and protection policy in all company business dealings and decisions
  • Experience working with different time zones and ability to manage geographic challenges
  • Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Salesforce an advantage
  • A strategic operator and industry leader
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint an advantage
  • Required periodically for attendance at aviation events and client visits
