AviTrader MRO360°: Eoin Doherty speaks to David Dundas about inventory optimisation.

In the April issue of AviTrader MRO360°, Eoin Doherty, Pricing Director at EirTrade Aviation, discusses the impact of post-pandemic recovery and supply chain volatility with David Dundas.

“Many airlines have chosen to extend current leases to alleviate the delay of new aircraft deliveries. Operators are more focused on repair and purchasing of USM to optimise the operation of more mature aircraft. As a result, parts trading companies like EirTrade Aviation ensure their inventories are sufficiently stocked with high-demand material in serviceable condition, to support asset owners during critical and AOG requirements.”

On the shift towards more proactive inventory management strategies, Doherty adds, “EirTrade relies on real-time market data and trading activity to help predict component demand accurately. With the help of our internal ERP system and historical data we can accurately forecast demand and have various components ready to go on the shelf for critical requirement.”
