EirTrade features in MRO Management magazine:

In the latest issue of MRO Management, Liam Byrne, Origination & Trading Manager at EirTrade Aviation, spoke with Craig Waters about aircraft lease management.

In the article, Byrne explains that aircraft remaining in service for longer is forcing lessors to think further ahead rather than relying on standard assumptions about maintenance expenditure.

“It’s not enough to rely on standard maintenance estimates anymore. From what we have seen at EirTrade, lessors want a much clearer idea of when major maintenance will happen and what it will actually cost for each specific aircraft and engine,” he explains. “End-of-life planning specialists like EirTrade are becoming significant assets to lessors whose aircraft are reaching the end of their operating life, as they can help advise on whether it’s better to keep leasing an aircraft or dismantle it to sell the parts.”
